I love photography and especially photographing people….I could be driving past a beautiful landscape scene taking the picture in my mind watching the light play and always think to myself “wouldn't it be great if a child was in that scene"…sometimes I find it hard to switch off the camera in my head. I find some relief in eating chocolate and listening and dancing to music with my daughter or relaxing on the beach with my family. I also love gardening and Springtime when its so fresh and lovely and I can pack away the jumpers…
I just love weddings. Having been a bride myself 11 years ago I only know too well how quickly the day can go by. We understand the importance of capturing images that you can look back on with fondness. I often bring out my wedding album to look over and now that we have a daughter I just love showing her our wedding pictures and because she is only young thinks mummy was a beautiful princess.
Weddings are such a joy and we are very honored when we are picked to be your wedding photographer. On the day we endeavor to capture all the candid moments along with the traditional ones. A loving glance, a stolen kiss or Grandparents dancing to Eagle Rock whatever the moment we aim to capture it all for you.
Our wedding coverage can be as much or as little as you like, whether it be just the ceremony with a few couple shots afterwards or for the whole day from pre-bridal to reception. We have packages to suit any budget and style. We are also offering free engagement sessions with every package.
We are excited to now offer a “Trash the Dress" session after the wedding day, which is a great opportunity to go to a fabulous location and do the things that you just couldn't do on your wedding day. There are no limits to locations and its fun to put the dress back on with no wedding day jitters. Hair and makeup artists can be arranged for your session by us* (subject to their availability*)
I feel especially lucky that people invite me to photograph their babies and families as I can only take so many pictures of my daughter who humors me whenever I point and shoot her but we are running out of wall space in our home because I have so many picture of her.
We like to photograph on location which could be your home, beach, park or anywhere else that you would like. We are based in the Northern end of the Gold Coast but travel anywhere. The best times of the day for photography outdoors are early morning or late afternoon. When photographing your newborn because we are indoors anytime during the day is suitable we just use window/door light for our lighting.
No two children are the same and before our photography session we spend time to get to know your child and discover their personality. No one is happy with a camera thrust at them on an initial meeting so we have some time before we bring out our equipment to play with your child and make them comfortable.
Our sessions can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. This allows for a more relaxed portrait session and those important breaks for food or drinks in between.
Every family has their own unique lifestyle and we endeavour to provide portraits that still feel like its you but with an edge. Of course you can wear what you like but if your not sure we do offer styling tips on what to wear. For more detailed information on what to wear and what to expect at your portrait session an information sheet will be sent out with our pricelist.
Our photography is not limited to weddings and portraits we also cater for christenings, elopements/registry weddings, functions, formals or any other occasion and would be only be too happy to assist you.
